About Us

Vet Corps supports the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) mission of "Serving Those Who Served." When Veterans transition from military service to civilian life, they undergo one of the most vulnerable periods of their lives. Vet Corps saves and transforms lives by building a stronger support system for Veterans and their families through peer mentorship. We help Veterans and military families successfully integrate into civilian life. Vet Corps members will be responsible for providing direct peer support to Veterans and Veteran family members at college campuses, Veterans service organizations, and nonprofits. They will focus on resource navigation for education, employment, healthcare access, and disability compensation. Members will serve at up to 15 different sites across the state. Applicants will have the opportunity to express their preference for geographic location during the interview process. Veterans, spouses, and dependents will receive priority consideration for these positions. We expect to begin rolling review of applications and interviews in late July.
