Social Media Manager (Content Creator): Part-Time, Remote


Location: Remote (U.S.)

About the role

Studio AM is a full-service brand and content studio building impactful brands and meaningful communities. We're looking for a Social Media Manager to own day-to-day content for one of our client brands across channels (short-form video and static content) and to keep the community engaged and growing.

You'll be the creative engine behind the brand's social presence. As you prove yourself, there's a clear path to take on additional Studio AM accounts and grow your scope (and pay) with us.

This is a hands-on maker role for someone who lives on social, has a strong eye, and can turn ideas into scroll-stopping content fast. If you're early in your career but already building things you're proud of, you're a fit. 

 

What you'll do

  • Edit short-form video — cut and edit provided footage into scroll-stopping short-form video for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts. (Filming isn't part of this role for now — you'll be working with footage we supply.)
  • Create static content — design graphic posts and carousels for Instagram, Threads, Facebook, and Pinterest.
  • Own the content calendar — plan, schedule, and publish consistently across all channels using scheduling tools.
  • Manage the community — respond to comments and DMs, engage with relevant accounts, and help grow an active, loyal audience.
  • Report on what's working — track performance across platforms, surface insights, and contribute ideas to sharpen the content strategy over time.
  • Stay ahead of trends — bring us formats, sounds, and ideas before they peak.

 

About the brand you'll be working on:

You'll be creating for a brand in the wellness space. This is a world with its own language, aesthetic, and pace: the audience is discerning, and content that feels off-brand or overly "salesy" gets ignored. We're looking for someone who lives in this space. You follow wellness creators, you understand what makes this audience stop scrolling, and you can create content that feels native to the category. 

 

What a typical week looks like:

This is a part-time role (~15–20 hrs/week). A normal week looks roughly like:

  • Short-form videos edited from provided footage and published across TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
  • Static posts or carousels for Instagram, Threads, Facebook, and Pinterest.
  • Community management — replying to comments and DMs, engaging with relevant accounts.
  • A short weekly check-in on what performed, with a quick recap of numbers and ideas for what's next.

Cadence flexes with the brand's needs, and as you grow into the role there's room to take on more: additional channels, more volume, and eventually other Studio AM accounts.

 

What we're looking for:

  • A portfolio or set of examples showing content you've made: personal accounts, class projects, past internships, or brands you've helped.
  • Fluency across major platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok, with a real feel for what performs on each. 
  • Comfort editing short-form video (CapCut, Premiere, or similar) and making clean graphics (Canva, Figma, or similar).
  • Sharp writing: you can match a brand voice and write captions that land.
  • Organized and self-directed. You can manage a calendar and hit publish consistently without being chased.
  • Reliable communicator who's comfortable working independently and remotely.

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience running or growing a social account (yours or someone else's) with real numbers to show.
  • Basic familiarity with analytics: native platform insights or tools like Metricool, etc.
  • Interest in brand strategy and a desire to grow into a bigger role.
