Are you passionate about yoga, mindfulness, and helping students develop healthy habits for both mind and body?

 

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Yoga & Mindful Movement Instructor to lead engaging after-school classes this fall. This enrichment program introduces students to yoga through fun, age-appropriate poses, mindful movement, breathing techniques, stretching, and relaxation exercises that promote physical wellness, emotional resilience, and self-confidence.

 

Students will develop balance, flexibility, coordination, focus, and body awareness while learning practical mindfulness strategies that support emotional regulation, stress management, and positive social interactions.

 

Whether you're a certified yoga instructor, wellness coach, educator, fitness professional, or someone passionate about youth wellness, this is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact on students' lives.

 

Curriculum guidance and program support are provided so you can focus on creating a safe, engaging, and uplifting classroom experience.

 

What You'll Do

  • Lead engaging Yoga & Mindful Movement classes in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment
  • Teach age-appropriate yoga poses, stretching routines, breathing techniques, and mindfulness exercises
  • Guide students through activities that improve flexibility, balance, coordination, strength, and body awareness
  • Incorporate relaxation techniques, mindfulness practices, and positive affirmations to promote emotional well-being
  • Encourage self-confidence, focus, resilience, and healthy lifestyle habits
  • Adapt activities to meet varying abilities and experience levels
  • Foster a calm, welcoming classroom where students feel comfortable participating and expressing themselves
  • Monitor student participation and provide positive encouragement and constructive feedback
  • Maintain classroom organization and ensure student safety throughout all activities
  • Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff
  • Arrive prepared and ready to deliver an exceptional learning experience

 

What We're Looking For

  • Passion for yoga, mindfulness, wellness, and youth development
  • Experience in yoga instruction, fitness, wellness coaching, physical education, dance, or related disciplines
  • Strong communication and classroom leadership skills
  • Patient, encouraging, dependable, and professional attitude
  • Ability to create a positive, calming, and inclusive learning environment
  • Comfortable leading group movement and mindfulness activities
  • Prior teaching, coaching, camp, recreation, or youth program experience is a plus but not required
  • Yoga certification or background in Yoga, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Health, Education, or related fields is highly encouraged
