New Alternatives, Inc. is a private non-profit agency that provides a wide range of services to children, youth, and families in San Diego and Orange Counties. Services include residential, outpatient, day treatment, school behavioral services, and in-home support services.

Mental Health Worker
New Alternatives’ CAC Program is looking for patient, motivated, nurturing and positive professionals to work with emotionally disturbed adolescents helping them learn coping skills, help decrease hospitalization and screenings, and link them to long term services.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Case management services that include linkage, coordination of care with community partners, family and clinician.
- Family Rehabilitation
- Provide individual rehabilitative services
- Document services in electronic mental health records
- Maintain professional trauma-informed and caring interaction with clients and their families
- This position is field base and services are provided both in the office and at clients homes.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a BA or BS in psychology, social work or other related field
- Experience in the mental health field is a plus
- Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed care and resiliency practices is a plus
- Monday through Friday 8:30-5pm
- Must have a valid Driver’s License & car insurance
- Bi-lingual is a plus.
