Who You Are
Clinical Assistant / Therapy Assistant
We are seeking an energetic, compassionate, and detail-oriented Clinical Assistant/Therapy Assistant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in psychology, neuropsychology, rehabilitation, medicine, or other healthcare professions who are looking to gain valuable clinical experience while working closely with providers and patients.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, enjoys working collaboratively, and is passionate about helping individuals recovering from concussion and traumatic brain injury. While prior experience is preferred, comprehensive training and supervision will be provided.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer computerized and manual cognitive rehabilitation programs to patients
- Assist supervising psychologists and neuropsychologists during individual and group therapeutic interventions
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records
- Assist with functional assessments and treatment planning
- Support neuropsychological evaluations through test administration, scoring, and report preparation
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure a positive patient experience
- Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned
Schedule
Full-Time Position
- Monday through Friday: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- Flexibility for late shifts and occasional Saturday availability (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) is preferred
Location
This position is based primarily in our Manhattan office. As part of our collaborative, multi-site team, employees should expect to provide regular support and coverage across our Manhattan, Queens, and soon-to-open Bronx locations as needed. Candidates must be comfortable traveling between offices and working at any of our locations based on patient and operational needs.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Spanish fluency
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative clinical environment
Preferred:
- Previous experience in psychology, rehabilitation, healthcare, education, or related fields
- Interest in pursuing graduate studies in psychology, neuropsychology, medicine, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, social work, or related disciplines
Compensation & Benefits
- $19.00 to $25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
