Lower School Teacher (4th Grade)
Christian School of York (CSY) is seeking to hire a 4th grade teacher for the 26/27 school year. The ideal candidate will create a positive learning environment promoting academic achievement, critical thinking, social-emotional growth, and student success while meeting established standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in subjects such as English, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, tests, and observations.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Implement classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior and student engagement.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and administrators to support student achievement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education
- Previous teaching experience in an elementary school setting preferred.
- Knowledge of elementary curriculum standards and instructional best practices.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
