New Alternatives, Inc. Family Visitation Center is a non-profit Program that provides visitation and Parent Coaching to children, youth, and families throughout North San Diego County.
Our vulnerable population of children has suffered complex trauma due to neglect and abuse.
Our team includes passionate, dynamic, supportive, dedicated members who strive to enhance the lives of children and families we serve.

Pay: $37,440-$39,520/year depending on experience, language skills, and education PLUS mileage benefits (average-$3-6K a year**tax FREE)
WE SERVE the North Inland, and North Coastal Regions. We build strong alliances with the families, provide resources, and positively impact family connections. We have annual festivals, backpack drives for school, toy drives for Christmas, family portraits, and birthday parties for the children we serve.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Transporting foster children to visits at one of our locations, community parks, and other places in the County
- Increase and reinforce empowerment, empathy, responsiveness, and active parenting
- Increasing the parent's awareness of their child’s emotional and developmental needs
- Educating parents on what brought the child into care to decrease further CFWB involvement
- Preparing parent for child’s reaction and how to circumvent the behavior through positive parenting
- Identifying and appreciating the parent’s strengths and helping them to improve their skills
- Helping and reassuring parents with regard to their role and building a support system allowing the parent to feel comfortable during visits
WE PROVIDE AN EXTENSIVE ARRAY OF TRAININGS which includes: Initial Staff Training, Trauma-Informed Care, Transport Training, CPR/First Aid, Pro-Act, Motivational Interviewing, Sexual Harassment, Privacy and Confidentiality, Culture Training, and many more.
Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available with the greatest need during the afternoon from 3pm-8pm. We have F/T 80, F/T 60, and Part/Time positions available immediately. QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Science, and/or a field related to Families. If you do not have a degree, you must have at least 2 years of childcare experience in a work setting such as YMCA, After School Programs, Nanny, Camp Counselor, etc.
Must have a reliable car to transport children
Bilingual is preferred but not a must
Must have a valid Driver’s License, car insurance, and NO DUI’s
