Housing Coordinator
The Housing Coordinator position at Brilliant Corners is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of formerly homeless individuals in Los Angeles County.
You would be directly involved in helping people find and maintain housing, working with landlords, case managers, and other service providers.
Daily tasks could include:
- Helping clients navigate the often-complicated process of getting housing assistance.
- Coordinating move-ins.
- Conducting regular home visits to ensure the well-being of the program participants and that the units are habitable.
- Responding to tenant and housing emergencies.
- Connecting people with resources for things like unit modifications or reasonable accommodations.
- Keeping detailed records of your work.
You'll need to be comfortable with:
- Traveling throughout LA County.
- Working with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Managing your time effectively.
- Thinking critically to solve problems.
Minimum Requirements
- One year of work experience in non-profit human services
- While not required, experience working with people experiencing homelessness, veterans, or individuals with health conditions would be a plus.
- Driver license, personal vehicle and insurance
