Support Care Professional

Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts with rotating schedule and set days off. 

 

Position Description:  Seeking a compassionate and steady Support Care Professional to support adolescents in our psychiatric residential treatment program. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building trust with teens, providing structure, and helping young people navigate challenging moments with patience and clarity. You’ll be part of a collaborative care team dedicated to creating a safe, therapeutic, and growth‑oriented environment for youth.

Duties:

  • Provide direct supervision, engagement, and support adolescents in daily activities
  • Assist with daily routines, coping skills, and therapeutic activities
  • Observe, document, and report behaviors, progress, and safety concerns
  • Support crisis prevention and de‑escalation using approved techniques
  • Support residents in therapeutic groups, recreational activities, and skill‑building sessions
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
  • Collaborate with clinicians and nursing staff to reinforce individualized treatment plans
  • Provide one‑on‑one supervision for residents on special precautions
  • Perform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and moving furniture (up to 50 lbs)
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Experience working with adolescents or in behavioral health, residential treatment, or caregiving preferred
  •  Valid driver’s license and insurability
  • Ability to pass background checks and required screenings
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
    EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE
    Support Care Professional II - $25,706.04 annually. Requires High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 1 year of
    experience.
    Support Care Professional III - $31,378.40 annually. Requires High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 2-3 years
    of experience.
