Sports (Soccer World Cup) Writer and Content Creator

Sports Management / Journalism (Bilingual Spanish-English)
Remote | Flexible Schedule

MundoNow is kicking off World Cup coverage (and future sports coverage) with new content from former Argentina Div 1 players and ESPN guest commentators.

We're looking for passionate English or bilingual (Spanish/English) writers and/or sports management or former athletes who want to cover the World Cup with fan interviews, commentaries, fan zone and stadium pics/videos, and research (as needed).

Whether you’re a sports management or journalism student with an interest and deep knowledge of soccer, this is a great opportunity to gain real newsroom experience and build your portfolio.

What You’ll Do:

Cross departmental collaboration to constantly improve our world cup coverage.

This includes writing overviews/summaries of players, teams, and the tournament as a whole.

Collaborating with our head of sports as we contact guest players, coaches, and experts. You may also participate in our new video podcast, La Raya.

Research and report accurately on scores, updates, and relevant topics.

Collaborate with editors and content creators on story ideas and angles.

Write in English, Spanish, or both — depending on your comfort level and the story.

What We’re Looking For:

Strong writing skills in Spanish and/or English.

Passion for sports and particularly soccer.

Students or early-career writers interested in journalism, storytelling, or media.

Ability to work in a fast paced, low oversight entrepreneurial, and remote working environment.

If you’re ready to amplify Latino voices and grow as a journalist, we’d love to hear from you!
