V3 Sports is a nonprofit located in vibrant North Minneapolis, focused on elevating our community through wellness, fitness, and education! Thanks to our amazing partners, donors, and incredible community members, we have been making waves in Minneapolis, serving over a thousand families since 2007.

Founded as a non-profit in 2007, the mission of V3 Sports mission is to elevate our community through wellness, fitness and education. In 2024, V3 Sports opened Phase One of the V3 Center, a 40,000 square foot health and wellness center that will grow to be a North Minneapolis community asset and a regional destination. The focus of Phase One is to provide a place for Northside residents of all ages to access water, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, physical rehabilitation and enjoy healthy and delicious food offerings.

Phase Two, which V3 Sports is actively fundraising for, will be a regional destination for sporting events, career fairs, community events, and other drivers of economic stability. At the V3 Center, Northside young people and families will access programming that supports their career and economic aspirations and builds the skills they need to make their dreams reality.

Wages and Benefits

$16.50 per hour

  • Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST)

Schedule

This is a casual position with weekly hours that fluctuate based on candidate’s availability and V3’s program offerings.

Join V3 Sports as a Fitness Attendant to provide safe, clean, and high-energy training environment while delivering exceptional member engagement and customer service. This role ensures members feel welcomed, supported, and motivated during every visit, and will include the following:

  • Greet and acknowledge every member upon entering the fitness floor.
  • Build positive relationships with members to enhance retention.
  • Proactively help with equipment use and general fitness questions.
  • Promote V3 programs including personal training, small group training, and specialty classes.
  • Create a motivating and inclusive training atmosphere.
  • Conduct new member fitness orientations.
  • Provide demonstrations and safety instruction on fitness equipment.
  • Review basic program structure and training recommendations.
  • Answer questions and help members feel confident using the facility.
  • Identify opportunities to refer members to personal training or small group training.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and training areas throughout shift.
  • Ensure equipment is properly organized and stored.
  • Monitor safe and proper equipment usage.
  • Report on maintenance needs or safety concerns immediately.
  • Provide a visible presence to ensure member safety.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to incidents or emergencies.

Who You Are

  • You have at least six months of work experience as a fitness professional in a variety of settings, i.e. community center, university, fitness center, etc.; two years preferred with at least one reference provided.
  • You have a passion for fitness and health.
  • You’re a strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.
  • You can confidently demonstrate fitness exercises and equipment use.
  • You possess strong administrative skills and computer literacy.
  • You have knowledge of and experience with diverse groups of people of all socio-economic conditions.
  • You are able and willing to maintain current CPR, First Aid, AED, and BBP certifications. (For new hires, training will be provided during onboarding.)
  • You have a valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet V3 Sports’ driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit.
