Associate Scientist I- Entry Level Role- Full-Time
Location: Morrisville North Carolina
Pace Life Sciences is seeking an Associate Scientist I to support routine
chemistry and biochemistry testing, data analysis, and laboratory operations, within our Extractables and Leachables team. This role is ideal for someone looking to apply foundational scientific skills in a collaborative, quality‑focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine sample analysis using standard chemistry/biochemistry methods and analytical instrumentation.
- Review, interpret, and document test results accurately.
- Complete and maintain laboratory records, forms, and databases.
- Provide basic scientific insight to colleagues and management regarding test results and standard practices.
- Support investigations, respond to internal inquiries, and assist with customer feedback.
- Monitor data trends, identify issues, and present findings or recommendations.
- Conduct routine audits to ensure accuracy of tests, equipment, and documentation; escalate discrepancies when needed.
- Assist with cross‑functional projects, including planning and reporting.
- Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment and work areas.
- Apply departmental procedures and relevant regulations.
- Participate actively in team initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Demonstrate professionalism and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field; or equivalent education and experience.
Knowledge & Skills
- Core principles and techniques of chemistry/biochemistry.
- Standard laboratory procedures, documentation, and regulatory expectations.
- Analytical instruments, testing tools, and calibration basics.
- Laboratory information systems and general computer applications.
- Effective communication practices for scientific environments.
- Ability to perform routine scientific testing and data analysis.
- Strong documentation, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including report preparation.
- Sound judgment and adherence to established guidelines.
- Ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
