Summer Fitness Camp Counselor

Summer Fitness Camp Counselor

Who is Coach Kee's 360 Training?

Coach Kee's 360 Training is a youth health and fitness organization dedicated to developing the whole child physically, emotionally, and socially. With over 17 years of experience, we inspire, teach, and train children and families to lead healthier, more confident lives. Our mission is to empower youth through purpose-driven programs that build strength, resilience, leadership, and lifelong healthy habits. We pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive, high-energy environment where every child feels valued, supported, and capable, including campers with a wide range of learning styles, abilities, and neurodivergent profiles.

Position Overview

We are hiring Summer Fitness Camp Counselors to help lead our summer day camp for youth ages 12 and up. This is more than a fitness role. Our counselors guide campers through a full day of movement, games, arts and crafts, team-building, and field trips, creating a fun, structured, and welcoming environment for every child.

This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with teens, is patient and adaptable with neurodivergent youth (including campers with ADHD, autism, anxiety, sensory needs, or other learning differences), and brings high energy, creativity, and care to everything they do. If you love being active, mentoring young people, and being part of a team that takes inclusion seriously, we'd love to meet you.

Schedule

  • Days: Monday through Friday
  • Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Term: Summer 2026 (full summer commitment preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a daily mix of fitness sessions, group games, arts and crafts, team challenges, and off-site field trips for campers ages 12 and up.
  • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate physical activity focused on strength, coordination, agility, teamwork, and confidence-building.
  • Adapt activities, instructions, and pacing to meet the needs of neurodivergent campers: using clear communication, visual cues, sensory awareness, and flexible behavior support strategies.
  • Build trusting, respectful relationships with campers.
  • Supervise campers during transitions, meals, breaks, and field trips, ensuring safety at all times.
  • Help plan and set up activities, manage equipment and supplies, and keep the space organized.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, high-energy environment where every camper feels seen, supported, and capable.
  • Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Participate in pre-camp training and ongoing team development sessions.

Qualifications

  • Genuine love for working with teens (ages 12+).
  • Experience working with neurodivergent youth (formal or informal) and a working understanding of how to support different learning, sensory, and behavioral needs.
  • Strong athletic background and comfort leading physical activity, games, and outdoor play.
  • Creativity and willingness to lead arts and crafts, team-building, and non-fitness activities.
  • Excellent communication, patience, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to adapt sessions to different ages, abilities, and learning styles.
  • High energy, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Available Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, throughout the summer.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain before camp begins).
  • Background check required.

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Coursework or experience in education, special education, child development, psychology, kinesiology, recreation, social work, or a related field.
  • Prior camp counselor, coaching, tutoring, or youth program experience.

Compensation & Growth Opportunities

  • Starting pay: $20-23/hour
  • Performance-based raises available based on demonstrated leadership, reliability, and impact.
  • Opportunities for increased responsibility and expanded roles as the company grows, including potential year-round work after the summer.
  • Ongoing mentorship and professional development.
  • Positive, team-oriented work environment focused on youth development and inclusion.

Application Process

Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining:

  1. Your interest in working with youth ages 12 and up.
  2. Your experience supporting neurodivergent kids or kids with diverse learning needs, if any.
  3. Your availability for the summer.

We're looking for counselors who are passionate about developing young people through movement, mentorship, creativity, and inclusion.

Join us in building a summer where every camper feels strong, supported, and capable.
