Assistant to President

About Us:
80-20 Educational Foundation is a 501(C)(3) tax-exempt organization. It is devoted to furthering equal opportunity in the workplace and equal justice for Asian Americans. It has the same goals as 80-20 PAC, with an overlapping Board. However, these organizations use different approaches. 80-20 Educational Foundation focuses on political education; it does not take political action, such as endorsement of political candidates. The two organizations, while sharing the same goal, are operated independently.

80-20 is headed by S. B. Woo, former Lieutenant Governor of Delaware (1985-89). He is guided by 80-20’s Board of 6 great Board Members. In 2024, 80-20 EF was rated the 15th best out of 5497 charities in the U.S.A.

Job Summary:
This is a fully remote position. As Assistant to the President, you will support administrative operations, contribute to the development and distribution of a widely circulated weekly newsletter reaching approximately 590,000 Asian American readers, and play a leading role in the organization’s latest investigations and research initiatives.

This role offers a unique opportunity to learn directly from an experienced politician who will mentor you on American politics in a way that is not available in any book.

Preferred Qualifications:
a) Proficiency in office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
b) Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and handle tasks with attention to detail.
c) Familiarity with basic design or website management is a plus.

a) Bachelor’s degree or higher with a strong academic record; familiarity with Asian American communities
b) Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment, with strong self-motivation and willingness to learn

d) Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to public service or community impact

e) Strong resilience and perseverance, with the ability to navigate complex political environments
