Psychosocial Support Intern

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 
As a Psychosocial Support Intern, you will play a key role in assisting our team in providing care and support to women and families at risk of social exclusion. This internship offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals by fostering empowerment, resilience, and social reintegration.

Support in Psychosocial Care:

  • Assist in the assessment of the psychosocial needs of women and families at risk.
  • Provide emotional support and active listening in collaboration with the team.
  • Participate in developing and implementing personalized care plans.

Community Engagement:

  • Help facilitate workshops, group activities, and educational programs designed to empower individuals.
  • Collaborate on initiatives to promote social inclusion and community integration.

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress reports under supervision.
  • Support the team in organizing and coordinating resources and referrals for clients.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary team members to deliver holistic care.
  • Participate in team meetings to review cases and refine support strategies.
     

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
We are a non-profit organisation promoted by the Arrupe Centre and the Christian Life Community in Seville (CVX), founded in 2000 and operating in Andalusia. Our association is part of the Social Apostolate and belongs to the Jesuit Migrant Service (SJM) Spain, a network of organizations that works to defend the rights of migrants and their full access to citizenship.
 

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

On-site Supervision and Support
Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance. 

Academic Credit
Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.

Housing and Excursions
Housing and excursions are included in your internship and will be selectable during the application process.
