Temporary | Salary: $76,804.32 - $98,034.72 Annually

Monthly Salary: $6,400.36 - $8,169.56 Monthly

Join DMH in a front-line clinical social work role supporting psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention, treatment engagement, and emergency mental health response for individuals and families.

What You'll Do:

  • Interview clients, families, and significant others to obtain social, employment, medical, substance use, and mental health histories
  • Participate in emergency intervention teams to evaluate whether individuals present a danger to self, others, or are gravely disabled
  • Use crisis intervention techniques to help prevent hospitalization and stabilize emotional crises
  • Work with families and multidisciplinary teams to support treatment recommendations and coordinated care plans

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's degree from an accredited School of Social Work
  • Valid and active Associate Clinical Social Worker registration issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
  • Valid California Class C Driver License, or ability to use an alternative method of transportation

Preferred Background:

  • Applicants interested in clinical social work, crisis response, and recovery-oriented mental health practice
  • Candidates prepared to submit required academic documentation and maintain active ACSW registration
