Youth Director

I. OUR CHURCH

We are a growing church of regional influence, with a heart for the next generation of unreached people.

At Cape Cod Church, our mission is to help people discover a full life with God. We are a non-denominational church of 1,000 weekly attenders and 2,000+ members. Check out our core beliefs and backstory at capecodchurch.com. Beyond the basics, here are some of the things we value:

  • We are for the one who’s not here yet.
    • We make space (literally, metaphorically) for people at all points of their faith journey. We reserve judgment, and love patiently. We invite questions and doubts.
  • We create community that becomes family.
    • Our church operates like family: we care for each other, pray for one another, and learn to love across differences. We celebrate milestones at every stage of life!
  • We share the story of life, and life to the full.
    • Our worship, messages, Bible studies, and conversation point people toward Jesus. We equip members to take their best next step toward Jesus, and share their story!
  • We give generously to care for people’s lives.
    • Our church aims to generously invest in those outside our community. We support partners locally and globally who meet people’s spiritual and physical needs.
  • We build a culture of celebration that reflects heaven.
    • We motivate people to action through inspiration. We always end with hope. We celebrate ‘good stories’ in our midst. And we get loud when people embrace Jesus!

II. OUR YOUTH PROGRAM

The LOFT helps students in 6-12th grade discover a faith of their own.

Our students come from diverse economic, ethnic, educational, and faith backgrounds. We serve 150+ students regularly, across two weekly gatherings. Plus, we have 15 amazing adult leaders! Our program includes:

  • Tuesday LOFT

Tuesdays are THE.BEST.NIGHT.OF.THE.WEEK! On Tuesdays we hang out, play games, worship, listen to teaching, and discuss faith. This is our best opportunity to connect relationally with students, introduce them to Jesus, and disciple them to become more like Him.

  • Sunday Breakfast + Bible

On Sundays, we offer Bible teaching geared towards teens - while also encouraging students to engage with their wider Cape Cod Church community. We join the adults in worship, then head to The LOFT for free donuts and a sermon together. Sundays are a great opportunity to engage students whose parents attend CCC, but don’t (yet) come on Tuesdays.

After Breakfast + Bible, many of our students attend the 11am service or serve!

  • Events

Throughout the year, we also offer special events, including Winter and Summer Camps! Events have great outreach potential; offer key opportunities for adult leaders to connect with students; and develop unity among our LOFT family.

III. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for a leader who loves Jesus, students, and the local church.

At Cape Cod Church, we are lucky to have a great team that works together, and includes longterm staff mentors. So, we are equally open to hiring young candidates with potential, as we are seasoned leaders with experience!
