Taekwondo Instructor

We are looking for an energetic, disciplined, and motivated Taekwondo Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will not only be skilled in martial arts but will also be a passionate mentor capable of inspiring students of all ages (from toddlers to adults). You will lead classes, help students progress through their belt ranks, and foster a positive, respectful environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Instruction: Conduct high-energy Taekwondo classes focusing on forms (poomsae), sparring, self-defense, and basic techniques.

Student Mentorship: Motivate students to achieve their personal goals and model the five tenets of Taekwondo: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit.

Curriculum Management: Assist in testing and grading ceremonies to evaluate student progress for belt promotions.

Safety & Discipline: Maintain a safe training environment and ensure all students follow dojang etiquette and safety protocols.

Community Engagement: Interact with parents and students to provide feedback on progress and assist with school events or demonstrations.

Minimum Requirements

Experience: Minimum of a 1st Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo (World Taekwondo/Kukkiwon or ITF preferred).

Teaching Ability: Previous experience teaching children or leading group fitness classes is a plus.

Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to command a room with confidence and respect.

Reliability: Punctual and professional with a strong work ethic.

Background Check: Must be able to pass a standard background check for working with minors.

Preferred Skills

Experience in competitive sparring or demonstration teams.

Basic knowledge of first aid/CPR.

Bilingual skills are a plus!
