Licensed Mental Health Professional - Per Diem - Flexible

JOB TITLE: Licensed Mental Health Professional

CLASSIFICATION: Per Diem, Non-Exempt

PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT:   Behavioral Health Services

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:  Director or Supervisor or Behavioral Health Services

POSITION SUMMARY: The Licensed Mental Health Professional will evaluate, assess, and provide therapeutic services to children and/or adults in the Behavioral Health Services program.  Meets timeline requirements for documentation, scheduling services, meeting service recommendations. Coordinates consistent delivery of Behavior Health Services for the people we serve. Ensures all documentation meets agency, state, and MCO requirements. Maintains case file entry and documentation for assigned caseload. On-going evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of client care and support services. Collaboration with Managed Care Organizations to obtain and maintain authorization of services. Maintain and review individual needs and service plans


QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education, Training & Experience:
Licensed in NYS as a: Licensed Psychoanalyst, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Or

Licensed Masters Social Worker

 

Preferred Education, Training & Experience:
Training related to evaluation of MH diagnosis and complete assessments to recommend appropriate services.

Experience providing services to individuals with serious emotional disturbances.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Valid New York State Drivers License that meets Agency

Ability and willingness to travel throughout Cattaraugus, Allegany, Chautauqua Counties

Ability to work flexible hours and periodically respond to “on-call” demands

Ability to react appropriately to emergency and other unusual situations

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of psychotherapy casework; evaluating, assessing, and providing community mental health program services.

Knowledge of the social aspects, attitudes, characteristics and behaviors of mental illness and emotional disturbances.

Current developments in the field of community mental health.

Community resources available to mental health programs.

 

SALARY:

$60 per hour for all billable hours

$25 per hour for non-billable hours
