MSW Student Clinical Internship

Student Clinical Internship (Unpaid) – Fall/August 2026 Term
Location: Remote / 100% Telehealth / Applicant MUST reside in Florida.
States Served by Practice: Colorado, Florida, Illinois, and Texas
Practice Type: Insurance-based outpatient mental health practice

We are offering an unpaid student clinical internship for the August 2026 term for a graduate-level counseling or social work student seeking a supervised outpatient training experience in a fully remote telehealth practice.

This internship is designed as an educational placement for students who want to strengthen their clinical skills, case conceptualization, documentation, and professional development within an outpatient setting. The experience is intended to support the student’s academic training and internship/practicum requirements and is structured around supervision, learning, and skill development.

This placement is a strong fit for a student with a genuine interest in working with clients presenting with trauma, eating disorders, and borderline personality disorder.

Internship Overview

  • 100% remote / telehealth
  • Unpaid student internship
  • Fall / August 2026 term
  • Supervised outpatient clinical training experience
  • Training in documentation, treatment planning, case conceptualization, and telehealth service delivery
  • Supervision and learning experiences provided consistent with program requirements, training level, and site capabilities
  • Internship schedule and responsibilities will be coordinated with the student’s academic program and educational goals

Learning Opportunities

  • Observe and participate in outpatient clinical care appropriate to training level
  • Develop skills in assessment, treatment planning, clinical documentation, and therapeutic interventions
  • Strengthen understanding of ethical practice, professional boundaries, and telehealth care
  • Participate in supervision, feedback, and case consultation
  • Gain experience in an insurance-based outpatient setting

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program in counseling or social work

Requirements

  • Enrollment in an accredited graduate program in counseling or social work
  • Program approval for practicum/internship placement
  • Ability to participate in a fully remote training experience
  • Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Interest in developing clinical skills within a supervised educational setting
