2026 Summer Camp Opportunities: Tennis Camp Directors

Position Details & Responsibilities

Tennis Camp Directors are responsible for the development and implementation of assigned recreation programs. This role works independently, within established guidelines, to develop, coordinate, supervise, and instruct day-to-day activities and provide lead direction to assigned part-time staff and volunteers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading daily tennis camp operations for youth participants 
  • Planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities 
  • Supervising staff and volunteers 
  • Supporting a safe, inclusive, and positive camp environment 
  • Communicating with parents and administrative staff as needed 

Pay Rate: $23.32 – $24.79/hour 

The hiring range for this position is $23.32 to $24.79 per hour, based on experience and internal equity. The full hourly range for this job classification is $23.32 to $26.29. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.

 

Requirements

  • 18+ years old by May 1, 2026 
  • First Aid and CPR (or ability to obtain within 30 days) 
  • Valid Driver’s License may be required 
  • Bilingual skills preferred 
  • Willingness to work outdoors, rain or shine 

 

Scheduling

THPRD is hiring for both year-round and seasonal positions.

  • Seasonal: Up to 40 hours/week, June 15 – September 1 
  • Typical Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–2:00 pm 
  • Part-Time (Year-Round): Variable hours, typically under 1,560 hours per year 
  • Seasonal Employment: Up to 40 hours/week for a maximum of 6 consecutive months, with a required 13-week break before rehire eligibility
