Position Summary: The Early Intervention Mentor provides coaching, consultation, and professional learning to support schools in implementing positive behavior interventions. This role assists school teams with conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) using trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices. The Mentor works collaboratively with school staff to strengthen classroom management practices and tiered behavior supports, helping reduce instructional disruption and improve student outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
● Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, child development, special education, or a closely related field.
Experience:
● Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in education, social work, mental health, or a related field.
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, and Certifications
● Possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain an Oklahoma Teacher Certification.
● Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and child development principles.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
● Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
