Student Assistant Coach - 2026-27 - Work Study or Regular Pay
University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, an NCAA Division III member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and is seeking a Student Assistant coach enrolled in a graduate program at UW-Whitewater for the Men’s & Women’s Tennis programs. This is classified as an assistant coach for a 1 or 2-year period, and compensation is a stipend paid bi-weekly throughout the academic year. The successful Student Assistant applicant must meet the admission requirements for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Graduate School.
Under the direction of both the Men’s Tennis and the Women’s Tennis head coaches, the student assistant coach will assist in all aspects of the Men’s and Women’s programs. Assist in organizing and administering practices, and in match coaching. Additional duties include supporting the recruitment and retention of qualified student athletes, complying with NCAA and university regulations, and participating in community service programs.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Knowledge of collegiate tennis experience required. Strong management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are required. Knowledge of NCAA rules and a valid driver’s license is required. The successful candidate shall be a person of integrity with high ethical standards, and exhibit a strict allegiance to university, department, and NCAA rules and regulations, as well as a solid commitment to student achievement in academics. Acceptance into a UWW graduate program will be required. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
