CLASSIFICATION: Customer Service Supervisor
PAY GRADE: $60,268.37 - $76,538.39 annually
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Environmental Services, Customer Service and Security, serves as the Customer Service Supervisor for Saginaw County Community Mental Health Authority (SCCMHA). This position supervises and coordinates customer service operations across multiple sites and is responsible for the administration of the persons served Grievance and Appeals process. Ensures persons served advocacy, service access, and continuous quality improvement, and participates in leadership and community collaboration efforts to support a responsive system of care. This position will be knowledgeable about and actively support culturally competent recovery-based practices; person centered planning as a shared decision-making process with the individual, who defines his/her life goals and is assisted in developing a unique path toward those goals; and a trauma informed culture of safety to aid persons served in the recovery process.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT:
Works in a normal office environment with pressures of time constraints, multiple projects, and priorities. Because of time constraints and meetings with boards and committees, it is not unusual to work varied and long hours with commitment to meet deadlines. Occasional exposure to persons served with potential for disruptive, aggressive behavior. Occasionally drives to other facilities and locations when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors’ degree in Social work, Psychology or closely related Human Services field.
Experience: Five (5) years progressively responsible mental health experience with a working knowledge of the State of Michigan Mental Health system being preferred. Minimum two (2) years of supervisory management level experience, with a focus on Mental Health and community relations preferred.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid Michigan Driver’s license with a good driving record. Bachelor of Social Work licensure by the State of Michigan is preferred.
