Pay: From $60,000.00 per year

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intake Specialist to join our team. As an Intake Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assessing and evaluating individuals seeking behavioral health services. Your primary responsibility will be to gather necessary information and documentation to determine the appropriate course of treatment for each client.

Responsibilities:
· Promote Outreach programs within AOR and outside of the organization; seek out and obtain program referrals, build relationships to market AOR services

· Collect and review medical documentation, including DSM/ICD-10 codes, to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning

· Track program capacity, oversee new client admissions, manage timely and appropriate discharges, including into the community

· Ensure accurate and timely documentation

· Develop and implement systems to increase department efficiency, such as immediate access to services, responding to high-needs clients, and managing referrals with partners

· Ensure the timely flow of new clients into AOR’s care system

· Conduct regularly scheduled meetings

· Develop and administer tracking systems for required documentation

· Screen and interview clients for fitness for AOR services

· Make appropriate determinations regarding client resources and linkage to the appropriate program

· Market AOR’s services and form relationships with external providers, applicants for service, and other stakeholders

· Provide client-centered and trauma-informed services to clients with severe mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse/addiction disorders

Qualifications:

· Rule 132 credential requirements for a Licensed Practitioner of Healing Arts (LPHA) or QMHP, including a Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or closely related field

· 1-3 years of experience working with persons diagnosed with mental illness

· Valid Illinois Driver’s License with daily access to a vehicle
