The IT Application Trainer is responsible for delivering effective end-user training for the Electronic Health Records application to ensure successful adoption, usability, and ongoing proficiency. This role designs, develops, and delivers training programs, documentation, and learning materials while working closely with Health Services, Health IT, and vendor teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver instructor-led and virtual training sessions for new and existing applications
  • Develop and maintain training materials, including user guides, quick reference sheets, videos, and e-learning modules
  • Customize training content based on user roles, workflows, and system configurations
  • Conduct training needs assessments and recommend appropriate learning approaches
  • Support application rollouts, upgrades, and system changes through targeted training initiatives
  • Provide hands-on system demonstrations and facilitate interactive learning sessions
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on application functionality and workflows
  • Collaborate with Health Services, Health IT, and vendor teams to align training with system capabilities
  • Maintain training schedules, attendance records, and completion metrics

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–5 years of experience in application training, software implementation, or user education
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills for diverse audiences
  • Experience developing training materials using tools such as PowerPoint, LMS platforms, or video authoring software
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, user-friendly manner

Working Conditions

  • LOCAL candidates are strongly preferred. 
  • Candidates must be able to work and interview on-site.
