POSITION SUMMARY

A Rehabilitation Technician works under close supervision of the Area Clinical Coordinator and the Regional Director of Operations, and performs tasks that do not require professional training or education. The Rehabilitation Technician is located in designated rehab departments also meets therapists' needs as well as routine tasks assigned.

POSITION DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive work assignments concerning preparation of tasks from the Therapists.
  • Obtain supplies necessary for use in therapist's patient treatments.
  • Assists patients to dress or undress in preparation for treatment, maintaining patient's modesty and dignity.
  • Assist therapists during ambulation and gait training, ADLS, speech and swallowing services.
  • Observe patients and notifies therapists of patient distress or malfunctioning equipment.
  • Maintain neatness of therapy department.
  • Transport patients safely to therapy and return patient to appropriate area after completion of therapy.
  • Complete other tasks to assist in safe and efficient operations within the therapy department.
  • Assist in creating lists for supplies necessary for use in various facilities.
  • Assist in maintenance of administrative record keeping systems.
  • Facilitate the wellness programs at the various facilities as assigned.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Rehabilitation Technicians are not required to have a degree, however, we strongly prefer administrative, healthcare, exercise and/or geriatric related experience and background knowledge.
