Pediatric Physical Therapist
Job Purpose: To treat infants and children facing various health conditions or developmental delays. To improve children’s motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, gait difficulties, and delayed motor response;
Responsibilities:
· Assess and evaluate patient;
· Review medical records, as appropriate;
· Coordinate a child’s care with other health care professionals
· Communicate and counsel weekly with patients and parents/guardians of patients;
· Develop and implement treatment plans;
· Completes clinical notes documenting activities, progress and improvement within 48 hours of a therapeutic session.
· Complete required billing records;
· Attends all mandatory training;
· Maintain all licensing and insurance credentialing;
· Assist patients to improve motor development, strength range of motion, endurance, balance,mcoordination, gait difficulties, heart and lung endurance, and motor development;
· Help children to learn to move their bodies correctly, make movements less painful, and increase the functions of the body;
Requirements
· Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy school
· A state license to practice Physical Therapy
· Ability to handle stress
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
· Attention to detail, patience, and empathy
· Physical endurance and dexterity to lift patient, and therapeutic equipment
· Previous experience preferred.
