ENVIRONMENTAL DEPARTMENT MANAGER

 

Fusco Personnel is searching for an Environmental Department Manager to work for a growing environmental consulting and engineering services firm and is seeking an experienced Environmental Department Manager to lead operations in the Capital Region of New York. This leadership role will oversee environmental consulting services, manage staff and client relationships, and support the continued growth of the department.  

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
  • 10+ years of environmental consulting or related management experience
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and client relationship skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects, staff, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Knowledge of environmental remediation, abatement, and regulatory processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally for project needs 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage environmental consulting projects ranging from routine assessments to complex, multi-disciplinary investigations
  • Oversee services such as environmental site assessments, subsurface investigations, remediation planning, and industrial hygiene programs
  • Lead and mentor technical staff, including scheduling, hiring, training, and performance management
  • Develop and maintain client relationships while supporting business development initiatives
  • Oversee departmental financial performance including budgeting and monthly reporting
  • Ensure project proposals, reports, and deliverables meet internal standards and regulatory requirements

 

Salary: $90,000 – 150,000 (Based on experience & credentials)
