  • What type of position is this? 
    • Program Clinician  We have varying opportunities available within the Moderate special needs population in grades k-12. 
    • Provide evaluation of student behavior where appropriate and requested. Which may include formal or informal assessments.3. Provide individual and/or group counseling of students.Provide family consultation. Collaborate with community based service providers as needed. Provide support in identifying community based resources.Participate in IEP meetings.Develop data driven goals and objectives for student IEP and complete progress reports based on data collection.
  • Will this role help me gain experience?
    • While in this role, you can gain familiarity with multiple school and clinical program staff.  Work alongside fellow program clinicians, other SSEC program clinicians, psychology interns, a visiting pediatric psychiatrist and possible Doctoral level psychologists. Positions you will collaborate with are moderate or severe special needs teachers, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, nursing, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Vision teachers, Orientation and Mobility providers, Music therapy, Art, Adapted Physical Education, Physical Education as well as custodial and food service personnel.

  • Do I meet the qualifications?
    • Qualifications: Appropriate DESE or Commonwealth of Massachusetts license as per appropriate SSEC program;  Master’s Degree in Social Work required. Licensed Social Worker/DESE School Adjustment Counselor. Experience working with students in a school setting with academic, behavioral and/or social emotional challenges, learning or developmental disabilities or autism preferred. Must be able and willing to physically restrain and/or lift students.
