College Advisor

Help Students Get Into College | Part-Time College Advisor | San Francisco, CA

$25/hr + student-based incentives | Remote-first | Flexible schedule

Do you love working with students? Are you the person friends come to for advice, guidance, and "okay but here's what you should actually do"? We're looking for a College Advisor in San Francisco who's passionate about helping high schoolers navigate one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

What you'll actually do: Work one-on-one with students and families to build college lists, tackle applications, hunt for scholarships, and stay on track — using a proven curriculum with full training provided. Almost 99% of this role is remote.

You're a great fit if you:

  • Have experience mentoring, tutoring, coaching, or working with teens in any capacity
  • Are organized, dependable, and a natural communicator with both students and parents
  • Hold (or are finishing) a bachelor's degree — education, counseling, psychology, or related field preferred
  • Can work independently without someone looking over your shoulder

Bonus points for:

  • College advising, admissions, or college access program experience (TRIO, Upward Bound, College Advising Corps, etc.)
  • Familiarity with HBCU admissions or selective/Ivy-level applications
  • Financial aid and scholarship knowledge

No direct advising experience? Still apply. If you bring strong mentoring instincts and genuine care for students, we'll train you on the rest.

The deal:

  • $25/hr starting + incentive pay as your student roster grows
  • Flexible, part-time hours
  • Proven tools, curriculum, and a supportive team behind you
  • Real impact on real students at a pivotal moment in their lives
