Runtime Basketball Academy (RBA) is committed to developing well-rounded basketball players through a strong foundation in fundamentals, discipline, and teamwork. We train student-athletes from 5th grade through high school—primarily boys, with a growing girls program—preparing them for the next level of competition.

Job Summary:
RBA is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Part-Time Basketball Coach to lead and support player development through structured practices, training sessions, and travel competitions. This position requires a passion for the game and experience as a player at the high school level or beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and lead high-energy, fundamental-based basketball workouts and practices

Coach and mentor student-athletes from 5th grade through high school

Focus on skill development, basketball IQ, and character building

Assist in the development of both boys’ and girls’ programs

Provide consistent communication with players, parents, and staff

Travel to local and regional games and tournaments as needed

Support the growth and culture of Runtime Basketball Academy

Qualifications:

Must have played basketball at the high school level or higher

Previous coaching experience preferred, but not required

Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategy, and player development

Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to lead youth athletes

Reliable transportation and flexibility for weekday evening and weekend sessions

Excellent leadership and motivational skills

Previous experience with youth or AAU basketball programs is a plus

Organizational and time management skills

• Relevant certifications in coaching and first aid or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks

Must pass a background check with AAU Basketball

Schedule:

Practices and workouts held several times a week (weekday evenings and weekends)

Game and tournament travel required (primarily weekends)
