Volleyball Assistant Coach

Venom Athletics is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Coach for our Volleyball Program. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is outgoing, dedicated, and passionate about contributing to the growth and development of athletes. While coaching experience is not a prerequisite, we are looking for someone with the ability to motivate and hold athletes accountable.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Head Coach to plan and execute training sessions, develop strategies, and ensure the overall success of the Stockton Program.
• Work closely with athletes to enhance their skills, foster teamwork, and promote individual growth both on and off the field.
• Create a positive and motivating environment, encouraging athletes to strive for excellence while holding them accountable for their commitment and performance.
• Maintain open and effective communication with athletes, coaching staff, and parents to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure a cohesive team environment.
• Facilitate team-building activities and events to strengthen camaraderie among athletes and promote a positive team culture.
• Provide support during games, including pre-game preparations, in-game guidance, and post-game feedback to contribute to the team's success.

Requirements:

• Demonstrate a friendly and approachable demeanor to connect with athletes and foster a positive team atmosphere.
• Ability to hold athletes accountable for their actions, performance, and commitment to the team.
• Collaborate effectively with the coaching staff and demonstrate a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the Stockton Program.
• While coaching experience is not required, a genuine passion for sports and athlete development is essential.
• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches.
• Flexibility to work weekends, particularly during the sports season.
