Jr. Tumbling Instructor (Ages 16/17) 

Rocket City Tumbling Academy is opening in Huntsville in Spring of 2026! We are seeking confident, energetic, and reliable Junior Tumbling Instructors (ages 16-17) to lead beginner-level tumbling classes for young athletes. 

This role is designed for responsible teen coaches who can independently run structured classes while maintaining safety, positive energy, and strong classroom management. 

An adult supervisor will be on onsite for all Junior Level Instructors. 
 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead beginner-level tumbling classes independently
  • Conduct warm-ups, drills, and skill progression 
  • Maintain class control and positive student engagement
  • Provide age-appropriate corrections and encouragement 
  • Setup and clean up equipment before and after classes
  • Follow all RCTA safety policies and coaching standards
  • Support weekend events such as Parent Night Out, Open Gyms, Birthday Parties, and Special Events  
     

Qualifying Classes and Events

  • Tiny Tumblers, Ages 3-6
  • Beginners & Adv. Beginners, Ages 7-15
  • Open Gyms
  • Parents Night Out
  • Birthday Parties

 

Wages and Hours for Jr. Instructors

  • Starting at $10.00 per hour
  • 6-10 coaching hours per week 
  • Rotating weekend hours for open gyms and parties
  • Ability to offer private lessons subject to management approval
  • Ability to pick up additional classes when other teammates are absent

 

Requirements 

  • Must be 16-17 years old 
  • Prior tumbling, cheer, gymnastics, dance, martial arts, or related experience
  • Comfortable leading groups of young children 
  • Strong maturity and reliability 
  • Ability to manage a class independently
  • Reliable transportation 
  • Positive, coachable attitude 
  • Ability to earn and maintain a CPR/First Aid certification upon hire
  • Ability to earn and maintain a USAG Recreational Coach Membership upon hire
