Sports Performance Coach

Job Overview
The Sports Performance Coach at Athletic Advantage is dedicated to delivering personalized, high-quality training programs to a diverse clientele, including competitive athletes and active adults. This role focuses on enhancing clients' physical performance, ensuring each individual achieves their unique fitness and athletic goals. The Sports Performance Coach will design and implement customized training plans, emphasizing functional movement, injury prevention, and goal-oriented progress, in line with Athletic Advantage's commitment to superior, results-driven care.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute individualized training programs for clients, focusing on building strength, mobility, and overall wellness.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' fitness levels and identify specific goals.
  • Provide expert coaching on exercise techniques, ensuring safety and effectiveness to minimize injury risk.
  • Monitor and adjust training plans based on client progress, maintaining open communication to support their journey.
  • Collaborate with clients to set realistic milestones, fostering a commitment to long-term health and performance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized training environment, ensuring proper use and care of equipment and facilities.
  • Utilize the company's online scheduling and documentation platform to manage client appointments and maintain accurate records.
  • Represent Athletic Advantage professionally by upholding company values, adhering to the dress code, and providing outstanding client service.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, including certifications and workshops, to stay current in the field of sports performance and fitness.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NSCA-CSCS, NASM, ACSM, or similar).
  • Has valid CPR/AED/First Aid certification
  • Previous experience in athletic training, sports performance, or personal fitness coaching.
  • Strong understanding of exercise physiology, biomechanics, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and motivate clients.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client schedules.
