Gymnastics Instructor

Lightkeepers International is hiring a Gymnastics Instructor to lead high-energy, skill-building classes for youth in after-school and camp settings.​

Position overview

Part-time during the school year (after-school hours) and full-time during the summer.

Work at partner schools and camps across NYC and the surrounding areas in a supportive, youth-centered environment.​

Key responsibilities

Lead safe, engaging gymnastics classes for elementary and middle school students in after-school and summer camp programs.​

Teach age-appropriate skills, progressions, and routines while maintaining a positive, inclusive class culture.​

Spot students safely and manage equipment and space to ensure a safe training environment.​

Communicate with on-site program staff and families, as needed, regarding student participation and progress.​

Required qualifications

Previous experience coaching or instructing gymnastics.​

Prior work in an afterschool program, community center, or summer camp setting.​

Strong classroom/group management skills and genuine enthusiasm for working with children and teens.​

Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a full summer schedule and a consistent school-year schedule.​
