The City of Centerville is looking for a GIS Intern! The city of Centerville is a “warm and cheerful” community with a population of approximately 24,000 located southeast of Dayton in Montgomery County. This role works under the IT and can work up to 30 hours per week. If you are passionate about maintaining our community and learning outside the classroom please fill out the application!

Job Responsibilities:

• Basic use of ESRI GIS software suite, including ArcPro, Experience Builder, AGOL and related Apps.
• Basic understanding of Geographical Information and Global Positioning systems.
• Capable of georeferencing plan documents.
• Visits city departments and assists with data collection with GPS unit.
• Plans and coordinates special projects and works with other city departments as needed.
• Ability to perform data entry and data manipulation using ESRI software, Microsoft Excel and other relevant software products.
• Organizes and understands IT Department documentation, policies, and office procedures.
• Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:                                                                                          

• Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in GIS related field, Cartography, or Geography.
• Possess a valid Ohio driver’s license.
