Who We Are Looking For:

Arizona Autism is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, as well as the ability to implement behavioral therapy techniques under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

This person should possess the following attributes:

  • Enthusiasm: Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the BCBA, focusing on behavioral health and therapeutic interventions.
  • Support: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and improve quality of life.
  • Data Collection: Collect and record data on client behavior and progress, ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain medical records and documentation related to patient care, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to medical terminology standards.
  • Collaboration: Work with team members to assess client needs and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Flexibility: Provide support and guidance to clients in various settings, including home, school, or community environments.
  • Continuing Education: Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills related to behavioral therapy and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in patient care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical documentation is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with data collection methods used in behavioral health settings.
  • Understanding of behavioral therapy principles and techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • A patient-centered approach that emphasizes empathy, respect, and dignity for all clients.
