Full Job description:
At our clinic, we believe every child is full of potential. We are a team of therapists who are passionate about creating a supportive, playful, and encouraging environment where kids and families feel valued and cared for. We’re looking for a Pediatric Physical Therapist who shares our heart for children and families and wants to grow alongside a collaborative, fun-loving team.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess pediatric patients with developmental, neuromuscular, orthopedic, and/or sensory-motor needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address gross motor skills, mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional movement.
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions in clinic
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support carryover of skills in daily routines.
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with clinic standards and insurance requirements.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
- Educate parents and caregivers on home programs, positioning, adaptive equipment, and strategies to support their child’s development.
- Supervise and educate fieldwork students and student observers
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current state license (or eligibility for licensure) as a Physical Therapist.
- Prior pediatric experience is strongly preferred; new graduates with pediatric fieldwork experience will be considered.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with children, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- CPR certification within 30 days of hire (will reimburse course).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of sensory integration, neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT), or other pediatric therapy approaches.
- Experience with adaptive equipment, orthotics, and mobility devices.
6 month probationary period for employment
