A. General Information
Position: Occupational Therapist
Department: Clinical
Status: Exempt/Non-Exempt
**Part Time in office only

B. Job Summary
The occupational therapist is a member of the clinical staff and is responsible for providing treatment and performing evaluations for our clients. He/she is detail-oriented, dependable, has excellent clinical competence and clinical judgment, excels at working in a multidisciplinary team environment, and supports the vision of the company.

Reports Directly To: Vice President of Clinical Programs
Reports Indirectly To: N/A
Directly Supervises: N/A
Indirectly Supervises: N/A

D. Essential Functions

  • Screen and evaluate children and adults with motor and/or sensory disorders
  • Write evaluation reports
  • Develop treatment programs for children and adults with motor and/or sensory disorders
  • Provide teletherapy to individuals with motor and/or sensory disorders
  • Measure and document outcomes of treatment programs
  • Write treatment reports
  • Interface with other members of the client’s team, especially the parents/family
  • Communicate treatment issues with supervisory staff
  • Conduct staff and community education
  • Acquire, at minimum, the continuing education units (CEUs) necessary for license renewal
  • Manage support staff (volunteers, parents, etc.) within the clinic or teletherapy session setting
  • Provide ongoing support to CSLOT's marketing efforts
  • Contact and schedule sessions directly with clients (Primarily in the Pacific time Zone between 8am PST to 6pm PST)
  • Manage and track clients’ progress report due dates
  • Will work independently from a HIPAA compliant home office setting (when appropriate)
  • Follow CSLOT’s cancellation and makeup policy
  • Understand all CSLOT’s payor source services and authorizations
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

E. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience
REQUIRED
Minimum Education/Experience: Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
Certification/License: License to practice occupational therapy in the State of California and certification through the national board
