Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Eligibility for MA licensure path

1. Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis
- Conduct structured and semi-structured clinical intakes
- Develop DSM-5-TR–aligned diagnostic formulations
- Administer and score basic clinical screeners (PHQ-9, GAD-7, PCL-5, etc.)
2. Psychotherapy & Intervention Skills
- Provide individual psychotherapy under supervision
- Apply evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed treatment, motivational interviewing
- Participate in optional specialized training opportunities (EMDR, somatic-informed work, addiction counseling depending on background)
3. Treatment Planning & Documentation
- Write intake reports, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
- Use electronic medical record system (EMR) ethically and efficiently
4. Cultural Humility & Competency
- Integrate culturally responsive practices in all clinical interactions
- Explore dynamics around race, migration, collectivist vs. individualist identity, power, and belonging
5. Professionalism & Ethics
- Apply APA and ACA ethical standards
- Maintain confidentiality, informed consent, boundaries, and risk-management skills
