Pre-Licensed Clinician

Pre-Licensed Clinician / Supervisee — 1099 Contractor

Compensation: 30-40/hr

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy under supervision
  • Maintain timely documentation
  • Participate in group consults

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree 
  • Eligibility for MA licensure path
  • Liability insurance

1. Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis

  • Conduct structured and semi-structured clinical intakes
  • Develop DSM-5-TR–aligned diagnostic formulations
  • Administer and score basic clinical screeners (PHQ-9, GAD-7, PCL-5, etc.)

2. Psychotherapy & Intervention Skills

  • Provide individual psychotherapy under supervision
  • Apply evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed treatment, motivational interviewing
  • Participate in optional specialized training opportunities (EMDR, somatic-informed work, addiction counseling depending on background)

3. Treatment Planning & Documentation

  • Write intake reports, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
  • Use electronic medical record system (EMR) ethically and efficiently

4. Cultural Humility & Competency

  • Integrate culturally responsive practices in all clinical interactions
  • Explore dynamics around race, migration, collectivist vs. individualist identity, power, and belonging

5. Professionalism & Ethics

  • Apply APA and ACA ethical standards
  • Maintain confidentiality, informed consent, boundaries, and risk-management skills
