Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant in an Outpatient Setting
Position Summary: Responsible for selected treatment protocols under the direction and plan of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Pay: Determined based on years of work experience
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent (required)
- Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program and be a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant or eligible for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.
- CPR certification (required)
- Valid PA Drivers License (required)
- Valid PA Therapist Assistant license (required)
- Display knowledge of the use of various Exercise equipment, PC, copier, fax, and telephone (required)
Essential Duties:
- Performs specific treatment protocols under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Monitor exercise techniques of patients as assigned by the therapist. Assists in supervision of PTA students by the Clinic Manager. Evaluated their performances and assists in completing the student evaluation form.
- Accurately records patient response to the treatment each time a patient is treated. Submits charge forms to the clerical department which accurately reflect the treatment provided to each patient including time in and time out. The total number of unites billed shall not be greater than total number of time calculated using the time-in and time-out.
- Strives to maintain open, effective, professional communication and a positive working relationship with the Clinic Manager and all staff.
- Maintains the highest level of patient confidentiality.
- Must possess flexibility in their schedule to ensure coverage and accommodate patient’s needs.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude toward the profession and the organization. Strives for strong customer service continuously. Must have a strong professional demeanor, possess effective interpersonal skills and demonstrates a positive attitude that promotes cooperation to administrations, physicians, staff members, patients and other professionals such as work rehab nurses and vendors.
