Qualifications: Candidates must possess NYSED certification as a School Counselor

Key Responsibilities: 

• Provide academic, social-emotional, and college/career counseling to students in grades 9–12, both individually and in groups. 
• Oversee and support the scheduling process, including student course requests, schedule changes, and collaboration with building and district staff to ensure accurate and efficient scheduling. 
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor student support plans that promote success and well-being. Implement and support a comprehensive school counseling program. 
• Facilitate crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and responsive services to address student needs promptly and effectively. 
• Coordinate college and career readiness activities, including course planning, transcript reviews, college application support, and scholarship opportunities. 
• Analyze student data to identify trends, inform decision-making, and develop targeted interventions that improve student outcomes.
