INSTRUCTIONAL COACH
About Pow Athletics
At Pow Athletics, we believe sports can do more than just build strong bodies – we help build strong minds too. Our programs combine athletics with cognitive skill development, helping kids improve their problem-solving abilities, emotional intelligence, and logical thinking through basketball, football, volleyball, soccer, and even e-sports. We're all about making sure every child has a chance to participate and grow.
The Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic Instructional Coach who's excited about working with kids and helping them develop both athletically and mentally. You'll be part of a team that designs and runs our sports programs, making sure they're fun, effective, and true to what we stand for. As an Instructional Coach, you'll work with other instructors to supervise groups of children while running engaging sports and fitness activities. You'll need to maintain appropriate student-to-coach ratios, teach fitness skills, organize games, and keep kids actively involved throughout each session. The right person for this job genuinely cares about helping children grow and creating a safe, supportive space where they can succeed. You'll need strong leadership skills, clear communication, and plenty of patience to give our students the guidance they need to reach their potential.

· Get to know each participant's abilities and adjust activities to meet their individual needs
· Help train and support other coaches, making sure everyone can deliver great programs
· Create a positive atmosphere using music, conversation, and varied instruction styles
· Help measure how well our programs are working and suggest improvements
· Listen to feedback from kids, parents, and staff to keep making things better
What We're Looking For:
· Experience coaching, teaching, or working with young people
· Understanding of how kids develop mentally and how to weave that into sports training
· Great communication and leadership abilities
· Real enthusiasm for community involvement and belief that sports can change lives
· A bachelor's degree in Education, Sports Science, Psychology, or a similar field is a plus but not required
· 1-2 years of experience in education, coaching, or child development
Requirements:
· Must be 18 or older
· Have reliable transportation
· Pass a fingerprint background check
· Experience working with children in sports or fitness settings
· Ability to work well with other instructors
· Strong leadership, communication skills, and patience
· Genuine passion for helping kids grow and develop
· Authorized to work in the United States
What We Offer:
We believe in paying our team fairly and competitively based on their skills and experience. You'll also have chances to grow professionally within our organization, and you'll be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, creativity, and new ideas.
