Social Media Intern
Background
Are you passionate about social change, youth empowerment, and storytelling through social media? Are you a communications or marketing student looking for hands-on experience that makes a real difference? The Bokamoso Foundation is seeking a dedicated, creative, and self-motivated intern to help us expand our digital reach to deepen engagement with donors, alumni and partners.
About Us:
The Bokamoso Foundation is a U.S.-based nonprofit that supports the Bokamoso Life Centre, a vibrant community center in Winterveldt, South Africa. “Bokamoso” means future in Tswana, and that’s exactly what we’re helping build—brighter futures for at-risk youth aged 17–25.
The Bokamoso Life Centre provides life-changing programs including counseling, health education, drama and choral programs, youth mentoring, sports, creative writing, and digital literacy. Through the arts and structured development programs, young people learn to express themselves, understand their challenges, and pursue personal and career goals.
This internship offers a small stipend. We prefer to direct our limited budget to directly the Centre’s youth programs. However, working with the Foundation offers a meaningful opportunity to gain experience while contributing to an impactful cause.

The intern will have access to the Centre’s existing photos, videos, and stories—to strengthen BYF’s presence on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok. The role is remote, part-time, and mentored by the appointed Board member.
