Description / Role Purpose
This position is responsible for:
- Assisting with processing claims for participants in the agency’s Community Service and Education Programs, ensuring accurate client and student billing information.
- Maintaining and reconciling social security funds for individuals residing in agency residences, along with records related to Tuition and Evaluation billing.
Essential Functions
- Enter Medicaid billing/claims in Millin Software in compliance with OPWDD guidelines
- Coordinate with community service program staff to ensure proper documentation for residents
- Record revenue in Sage Intacct financial system
- Post monthly cash receipts and record payments in Accounts Receivable
- Perform quarterly reconciliations of revenue billed under Medicaid rates versus general revenue accounts
- Assist in monthly review of Accounts Receivable aging report
- Manage social security payments for residents in Community Service programs
- Serve as primary backup for Tuition and Evaluation billing
Secondary / Supporting Functions
- Support general accounting tasks: journal entries, AP adjustments, accruals, schedules, month-end close procedures
- Assist with the annual financial audit process
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in billing and accounts receivable
- Experience with Medicaid billing is a plus
