Summary of Position:

Under the direction of the Kewa Child Care and Development Director, the Client Services and Family Child Care Monitor will be responsible for assisting all clients with eligibility, in-take, compliance, and re-certification of child care services. The Client Services and Family Child Care Monitor will also be responsible for overseeing a caseload of up to 25 tribally certified child care Providers and will ensure that there are safe, developmentally appropriate environments for children 8 weeks to 13 years of age in the child care home. A variety of duties are required for monitoring, including issuance of proper payments to Providers. Ensure compliance with local, tribal, and state/federal grant requirements and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to communicate in both Keres and English
  • Must be a high school graduate or 5 years' experience in Administrative or Clerical Support. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Applicant must be at least 21 years or
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check as required by tribal program
  • Must be responsible, dependable and have independent work skills/habits.
  • Must be willing to be trained in program regulations and other areas pertinent to job performance, which may require overnight, out of town/out of state
  • Must possess a NM driver's
  • Must have computer experience and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have exceptional customer service and public speaking skills.
