Job Title: Youth Development Professional
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Location: Boys & Girls Club of Glasgow-Barren County
Overview:
Youth Development Professionals (YDPs) are the heartbeat of our afterschool program, creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for youth ages 6 to 19. You’ll lead hands-on activities, mentor young people, and help them explore leadership, life skills, emotional wellness, creativity, and career pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and engage youth in daily activities including arts, technology, e-sports, workforce development, fabrication, and more
Build meaningful relationships and serve as a role model for positive behavior
Facilitate structured programs that promote social-emotional learning, leadership, and life skills
Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
Enforce club expectations, safety protocols, and attendance procedures
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a high-quality club experience
Support youth-led projects and showcase events as needed
Ideal Candidate:
Energetic, dependable, and passionate about youth development
Experience working with school-age children or teens preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Creative, adaptable, and solution-oriented
